Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Ticka mobile app and the tools on ticka.day (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by the team behind Ticka (“Ticka”, “we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at support@ticka.day.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. The Service
Ticka helps you plan a day: a schedule with reminders, habits with streaks, and focus timers. The website additionally offers free browser tools — timers, a habit tracker and a countdown — which work without an account.
3.1 Reminders are best-effort. Notifications are scheduled on your device and depend on your operating system. Battery optimisation, focus modes, force-quitting the app, changing system time or restoring a device can delay or prevent them. Do not rely on the Service as the only safeguard for anything critical — medication, medical appointments, legal deadlines or similar.
3.2 Browser tools stop when the tab closes. Timers on the website run only while the page is open, and anything they save is kept in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browsing data erases it.
4. Subscriptions and payments
4.1 Free and paid. Part of the app is free. Some features require a paid subscription. Current limits, prices, billing periods and any trial terms are shown in the app before you purchase.
4.2 Billing through the stores. All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms, not directly by us. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation.
4.3 Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You cancel in your store account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
4.4 Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue them directly.
4.5 Advertising. The free version of the app shows ads. A paid subscription removes them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to store unlawful content;
- attempt to breach, probe or disrupt our systems, or access data that is not yours;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or resell the Service, except where the law allows it;
- upload malware, or automate use in a way that degrades the Service for others.
6. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, software, text and marks — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. Your content stays yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the Service for you: storing a backup if you enable it, and hosting attachments you add.
7. Third-party services and data
The Service relies on providers for hosting, payments, notifications, analytics and attribution, and it can read Apple Health and your device calendar if you grant permission. Their handling of data is covered by their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for what is shared and why.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that reminders will always be delivered on time, or that data will never be lost. See 3.1.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for missed events, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may update these Terms. The date at the top reflects the current version; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification — do so.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
