Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what data Ticka (“Ticka”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use our mobile app and this website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. You can reach us any time at support@ticka.day.
The short version: your schedule, habits, notes and timers are stored on your device. They leave it only if you turn on backup. We do not sell your personal data.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Content you create. Scheduled items, habits and their history, focus sessions, notes, checklists and attachments. This is stored locally on your device by default.
1.2 Backup data. If you enable backup, a copy of your content is sent to our servers so it can be restored later. Backup requires signing in with Apple or Google; we then store the account identifier those services give us.
1.3 Attachments. Photos, voice memos and files you attach are stored on our file storage rather than on your device, and are referenced by a link.
1.4 Health data. If you grant permission, we read step and calorie counts from Apple Health to close matching habit goals automatically. This data is used on the device for that purpose and is not sent to our analytics providers or sold. You can revoke the permission in your system settings at any time.
1.5 Calendar. If you grant permission, we read events from your device calendar to show them alongside your schedule.
1.6 Purchase data. Subscription status, trial eligibility and renewal state, received from Apple, Google and our subscription provider. We never receive your card details.
1.7 Diagnostics and usage. Crash reports, performance data, and aggregate events about which parts of the app are used. Device model, operating system version, language, region and app version are included.
1.8 Install attribution. Where an install came from — for example which campaign or link — so we can understand what works. This uses identifiers provided by the platform and by attribution providers.
1.9 Website. The tools on ticka.day run entirely in your browser. Timers, habit streaks and countdowns you create there are stored in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us. We do not use advertising cookies on the website.
2. How we use your information
- to provide the app: showing your day, delivering reminders and running timers;
- to back up and restore your content, if you enable backup;
- to process subscriptions and grant paid features;
- to send notifications you have asked for;
- to fix crashes, measure performance and improve the app;
- to measure marketing campaigns in aggregate;
- to show ads in the free version — see 3.2;
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
3.1 Service providers. We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that restrict their use of it:
- Cloud and infrastructure providers — hosting, databases and file storage for backups and attachments;
- Apple and Google — payment processing, subscription management and sign-in;
- Subscription management — to know whether your subscription is active;
- Push notification services — to deliver notifications sent from our side;
- Analytics and crash reporting — aggregate product usage and stability;
- Attribution providers — to measure where installs come from.
3.2 Advertising. The free version of the app shows ads. Ad networks may use device identifiers to select and measure them. A paid subscription removes ads. On iOS, whether an advertising identifier is available depends on the App Tracking Transparency permission you granted.
3.3 Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.
4. Data security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and other reasonable safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
One thing worth knowing: attachments live on our file storage, not on your device. If you rely on photos or voice memos inside Ticka, keep your own copies of anything important.
5. Data retention
Content stored on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app. Backup data is kept while your account exists; when you ask us to delete it, we remove it from active systems and from routine copies within a reasonable period. Diagnostic and aggregate usage data is retained in aggregated form.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to support@ticka.day and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You can also act directly: revoke Health, Calendar or notification permissions in your system settings, turn off backup in the app, or delete the app to remove the content stored on your device.
7. Children’s privacy
Ticka is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
